Should I buy a B2B email list?
Treat a purchased list as unverified information, not as proof of permission or fit. Ask where the addresses came from, when they were checked, what rights accompany their use, and how opt-outs are handled. If the supplier cannot provide meaningful evidence, the list can create more cleanup and risk than useful opportunities.
How to approach it
- Request source, freshness, and permitted-use documentation.
- Check a small sample against your target profile.
- Reject records whose contact basis you cannot support.
A vendor’s “verified” label may refer only to technical deliverability. It does not show that the contact has the right role, wants your offer, or can lawfully receive your message.
