What counts as a B2B buying signal?
A buying signal is evidence that makes a relevant business need more plausible. Expansion, hiring for a particular function, a stated project, or a request for information can provide context. Public changes are clues, not proof of a budget or intention to buy. Stronger signals come from what the buyer directly confirms.
How to approach it
- Connect the signal to the problem your service addresses.
- Check that the information is current.
- Ask about the process instead of declaring an urgent need.
A new location may create coordination work. It does not prove that the company needs your system. Ask how requests are handled across locations and listen to the answer.
